(NASDAQ: HOTH), a biopharmaceutical company, today announced it has filed a provisional patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the use of one of its current portfolio therapeutics to treat and prevent Alzheimer's disease. Hoth also secured an exclusive license agreement with respect to the use of this drug for other indications.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that is associated with the destruction of higher brain structures, such as those involved in memory and cognition.
